Injuries, Occupational Diseases, and Fatalities
Fishing is a hazardous profession. The calculation and statistical data sources for the injury rate (injuries per 1000 persons involved in fishing) differ between the countries and they also have changed over the years, but injury rates generally have a downward trend over the years. Occupational disease statistics for fishers are only available from Finland at present.
